ATTICA, Athens. Circa 454-404 BC. AR Tetradrachm (17.11 g, 4h). Struck circa 440-420 BC. Head of Athena right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with three olive leaves over visor and a spiral palmette on the bowl / Owl standing right, head facing, with spread tail feathers; olive sprig and crescent behind, AΘE to right; all within incuse square. Flament group II, 88/j; Kroll 8; SNG Copenhagen 31; SNG München 49; Dewing 1594; Pozzi 1545. EF. Struck from artistic dies, rare with nearly full crest visible.
