AFGHANISTAN
King Zahir High Denomination

AFGHANISTAN. Bank of Afghanistan. 1000 Afghanis, ND (1939). P-27Acts. Color Trial Specimen. PMG Choice Uncirculated 63.

A Large Format high denomination Color Trial with a portrait of King Zahir at center with a watermark of him at left. Red "SPECIMEN" overprints in the signature panel. A very pleasing example in this condition of this rare note is not readily available. PMG mentions the note was previously mounted, a comment often made on Color Trials as they were often mounted to display to officials. Absent from this piece are serial numbers and signatures. Wonderful registration seen, with all pertinent detail fully in tact.

PMG Choice Uncirculated 63.
