SKYTHIA. OLBIA. Large bronze, cast, about 460-440 BC. AE 293.54 g. Head of Athena l., wearing crested attic helmet, in front, dolphin upwards; all within incuse round. Rev. Wheel with four spokes, on the rim, signature EΠI ΠAVΣ (retrograde). Anokhin, Northern Bl 161.
Spectacular piece of greatest rarity, only one other specimen known (Odessa Museum), probably
the largest and heaviest issue of the whole Greek coinage. Dark green patina. Good very fine
