WORLD COINS, Double Island Issues, Montserrat-Tortola, Half-Dollar, a cut half-segment of a Charles III, Spanish-American 8 Réales, assayer fm, Mexico City, rev. countermarked m raised within a circular indent, in three places, and later countermarked tortola raised within a shaped indent (type I/b, late die state), 11.40g/175.9gr (Prid. –). Coin fair, reverse better, countermarks very fine, of the highest rarity; the only known specimen of this denomination and this combination of countermarks
