Banco Argentino Provisional Issues
The bank ordered banknotes from the American Banknote Company for its main office in Rosario. The bank proceeded to open branches in other cities and decided that each branch should issue their own banknotes - most likely based on their reserves. To differentiate them, each branch had a different color but before the banknotes for these branches arrived, Rosario notes were used with a stamp for each branch. When the new banknotes arrived, the provisional notes were exchanged for the new ones. As such, provisional issues are very scarce to rare especially the higher denominations, and most are in well-circulated condition.
