ABC 1193, VA 520, BMC 1161, S–. Slight hairline crack otherwise Near EF, rose gold, well centred vine leaf, lovely warrior, full inscription. SCARCE

The large central vine leaf is Verica’s answer to Cunobelinus’s large central barley ear. Both kings were keen on bold ‘trademarks’ and brash branding. This is a particularly well centred vine leaf and an exceptionally well preserved piece of gold with no plough-soil scuffs or scratches on any of the plain surfaces.
