Circa 1760s Money Scale in a Wooden Box. Fine. An iron and brass scale is housed in a 6.1 x 3.1 x 1.2 inch wooden box. The table of values inside the lid tabulates coin values in Philadelphia and New York. The 5.4 inch scale arm appears to be iron, and the 2.0 inch pans appear to be patinated brass. One of the strings to each pan is separated. Weights include 4 and 6 grains, and ½ through 6 dwts. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.HID05401242017
