LUCANIA. Thourioi. Circa 350-300 BC. Distater (Silver, 25 mm, 15.72 g, 5 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet adorned, on the bowl, with Skylla throwing a stone. Rev. ΘΟΥΡΙΩΝ Bull butting right; below, P-H; in exergue, torch. HN Italy 1861 var. (HP ligate). Noe 16 var. (HP ligate). SNG ANS -. A bold and impressive example struck on a broad flan. Nearly extremely fine.
