KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip II, 359-336 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 24 mm, 14.38 g, 1 h), Amphipolis, struck under Kassander, as Regent, 316-311. Laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. ΦIΛIΠΠOY Nude jockey on horseback to right, holding long palm branch in his right hand and reins with his left; below horse, dolphin and Π. Le Rider pl. 46, 19. A lustrous and very attractive piece. Two test cuts on the reverse, otherwise, good extremely fine.
