Vgl. Head, Coinage of Lydia and Persia, Taf. III, 14 und S. 46, 216-259). 14,88g. Selten. Fast vorzüglich. This coinage was commonly attributed to Euagoras of Salamis. This theory is losing favour to the Persian General Memnon (circa 336-334 BC.), who struck coins for payment of his army after he had captured Ephesos and before his defeat at the battle of the Granicus.
