Where the next Coin Conference will take place

Coin Conference Budapest

The 8th Coin Conference will take place in Budapest from September 28 to 30, 2026. Once again, around 200 representatives from central banks, mints, academia, and suppliers from around the world will gather to discuss how the coin market will develop in the coming years. Participants can look forward to two days of high-caliber speakers and two workshops.

What does Reconnaissance International stand for?

The Coin Conference has been organized every two years since 2011 by Reconnaissance International. Reconnaissance is a company that connects central banks with as many shareholders as possible who are involved in all issues that a central bank has to deal with. Reconnaissance organizes several conferences each year, including three conferences on high-security printing, one on the sustainability of payment systems, and one on coin minting.

Reconnaissance International conferences are characterized by the high degree of professionalism with which the program is put together. Thanks to the extensive experience and network that Reconnaissance has built up over the past decades, the conference team consistently succeeds in putting together a varied and enlightening program. The Coin Conference is an important meeting place, especially for decision-makers in central banks, to see at a glance what solutions exist for common problems that have already worked in other countries.

MünzenWoche as media partner

MünzenWoche will be attending the next Coin Conference as a media partner and will be hosting a workshop. While we discussed commemorative coin issues in general at the last Coin Conference, this workshop will focus on the distribution of commemorative coins.

Why is MünzenWoche a media partner of Reconnaissance?

At MünzenWoche, we believe it is very important to represent the position of collectors and dealers vis-à-vis central banks and mints. That is why we have decided to act as a supporting media partner of The Coin Conference again this year. In doing so, we are fulfilling one of the tasks we have set ourselves: to build bridges between the different worlds of numismatics.
