CoinsWeekly is now also available in Spanish
It was the Madrid Evento numismático that first brought me into closer contact with Adolfo Ruiz Calleja. We immediately bonded over our passion for coins and for sharing this enthusiasm with our readers. Our numismatic friendship quickly proved to be exciting, as Adolfo has a very different background to me. He has a doctorate in communication technology and, since 2009, has been combining his research in the field of educational technology with his enthusiasm for numismatics. In his Blog numismático, he uses state-of-the-art methods to spread knowledge about coins and medals in the Spanish-speaking community. In him, we have gained a partner who is sure to bring new ideas on how to reach younger readers.
The new CoinsWeekly and the concept of cooperation
I have already mentioned this several times: the new CoinsWeekly is based on a system of international cooperation. We are looking for a market leader in each language area who will present our reports from the international world of coins to their readers in their own language. Numismatics has always connected people across national borders and egos. And that’s how it should stay. If MünzenWoche can make even a tiny contribution to this, then we will do so.
Currently, in addition to the German parent publication, we serve four languages: English and French in cooperation with Sixbid, Italian in cooperation with Cronaca Numismatica. And now Spanish with the Blog numismático.
Why the Blog numismático?
All MünzenWoche partners are carefully selected. It is important to us to find someone who shares our love for, but also our responsibility towards, numismatics. We are not interested in scandalous reports and quickly cobbled together AI articles optimised for search engines, but rather in well-founded, well-researched and carefully processed information that enriches the knowledge of serious collectors, whether beginners or advanced.
Adolfo Ruiz Calleja shares these values. Within a few years, he has earned the respect of the Spanish-speaking numismatic world.
This world is particularly close to my heart, not only because I am very fond of Spanish culture. I am inspired by the commitment of many Spanish collectors. In the two years that I have been attending the Evento numismático in Madrid, I have made many friends. It makes me happy to now be able to get even closer to these collectors through the Blog numismático.
